Hanging of the Greens
My church asked me to design a program cover for an upcoming "Hanging of the Greens" service. The service is all about the symbolism of Christmas (ie "Symbolically, the star-shaped formation of red leaves of a Poinsettia calls to mind the star which shone at that first Christmas" and "Christians took evergreens as a symbol of the everlasting life—unending life which is ours when we receive Christ as Savior and Lord.") Creative Bridal Shower Gift
I had a bridal shower to go to today, and rather than buy something from the registry, I wanted to make my gift a little more unique. So I decided to put together a little scrapbook package that the bride could use to make a scrapbook of the honeymoon. I wanted to make the album cover fun and more personal, so I painted "Our Honeymoon" in a tropical style since the couple is honeymooning in Punta Cana. I love how it turned out, and I'm definitely going to do this again for future showers.
